Food Program for Families in Sri Lanka.
-For USD $11 you can help provide 1 bag of food for a family.
Currently people are facing “power cuts” upto 13 hours of No electricity where families have no access to electricity in their homes or businesses. Babies and children and elderly in the sweltering heat, no cooled fridge items, no electric cooking, no fans (most people don’t have air conditioning even though it’s a tropical humid country)
1 Bag of Supplies Includes: (Rs. 4000/ USD 11 PER 1 Bag)

-Samba Rice
-Spices
All due to a gross economic crisis the country is facing. It is such a tragedy what is happening in the country and we are praying. This island is a gem that still has not been fully cut into the brilliance it can be as it is being hidden and buried under debt and mismanagement.

OKC for Lanka Run
- A Sweet Friend of ours at The Ephraim Foundation International, Inc has pledged to run the Oklahoma City Memorial Half Marathon on April 24th, 2022 to raise funds for our nonprofit! We are so excited, it has inspired me to run as well! :)
A generous donor said they would donate $1 for every person she passes. (She runs about a 10 minutes per mile)

Christmas reminds us of how God enters into our human brokenness and gives us hope & salvation.
Sometimes, I worry about stuff that concerns my own little world. Then I realize all the need around and it’s not about me. So many around the world are in need but we are helping in Sri Lanka where people have faced flooding, massive increases in food prices, gas shortage, and dengue is rampant after the floods and rains, affecting many children.
Yet, I then think of the greatness of God in whom I place my trust and I remember how much He loves us and my perspective changes once again.
This Christmas season and by God’s grace we have been able to help 3 orphanages. They requested food supplies (high prices/shortages make this a more necessary commodity than toys), bed linens, pillows, new shoes.
We have also given new shoes, books, school supplies for many children. About 200 children were blessed this Christmas. I am excited because we have been able to help more children and families this Christmas .

Recent Sri Lankan News the last few months. Many are in need and do not have resources. We hope by helping children with education resources, we can help them pave a way to brighter future. We do provide food and basic supplies for families as well and we hope to lend a helping hand in times of need.

Supporting local Orphanages - We were able to provide new mattresses for an orphanage and much needed new hygiene products (bath towels/ bed linens) - The boys were sleeping on the floor prior and are so grateful for the mattresses.

Social Support Programs to provide food and groceries and basic supplies to those without.

In 2020 money went towards buying a computer for a widow whose children did not have one to do online school. When schools closed over there - children without computers [which are many] at home went without school at all! - This has led us to start 'The LEAD Project'

Over the years we have been supporting the Churches that Johanna's father, Dr. David Ephraim started in Sri Lanka. They don’t have any other large support system. We support pastors and churches who help their local communities and families in rural Sri Lanka.
We aim to build community relationships and social support systems via the local Church.

Food Program for Families in Sri Lanka CONTINUES AND we were also able to provide Funds for several people to obtain medications.
Palmerston Build Completed
With the completion of the basic hut the children have a regular place to study. Now that they have regular classes they have increased the number of children to a total of 42 children participating!
They also have been able to commence a youth ministry with about 15 young people. A small group also gathers for worship on Sunday evenings.
With the severe economic crisis Pilgrims Institute who we helped fund these projects were also able to provide a special gift for May and June to give some relief food for families.
NEW Partnerships
We are excited about these projects that we were able to be a part of by partnering and helping a local organization in Sri Lanka. We were able to fund a chicken farm for a young lady, help purchase a fishing boat and help with repairs of a truck / Land Master. We were also able to provide funds to help start a school canteen.
We love building community relationships and we are doing this by working with local organizations who are likeminded and have a huge heart for poor rural communities in Sri Lanka. We provided funds for the local organization who work locally in Sri Lanka to aid in agricultural and business projects for individuals and families. They encourage those they help to pay it forward to others in need to provide a continuum of giving and to break the cycle of poverty.
We look forward to working on more projects together.
